Debut Season of Orange County's New Green Scene Jazz Series
To Feature Top Names in Cool Jazz Music
Laguna Niguel, California - DQ Productions announces the debut season of the Green Scene Jazz Series, featuring Craig Chaquico, Joyce Cooling, and other popular cool jazz artists. The three-event dinner concert series will be held at the Grove of Anaheim, a venue known for its high-performance acoustics, state-of-the-art technology and lighting, beautiful concert stage, award-winning catering, and ample parking.
Craig Chaquico will headline the first concert of the series on [Date]. After 17 years as the lead guitarist, songwriter, co-producer, and arranger with the legendary multi-platinum group Jefferson Starship/Starship, Craig went on to become an award-winning solo artist who has been named one of the top jazz guitarists of all time. Also performing on [Date] will be popular saxophonist Eric Marienthal, a musician known for his passionate musical style, and guitarist Blake Aaron, whose recent string of hits from his 2007 album "Desire" have been receiving a great deal of air time.
On [Date], jazz guitarist Joyce Cooling will headline the series' second concert. Joyce is known for her unique personal style of finger picking and her Brazilian jazz background; she has been nominated for numerous awards, including Best Jazz Artist (California Music Awards) and Best Female Artist of the Year (Smooth Jazz Awards). Also performing will be Blake Aaron and Michael Paulo, one of the most versatile and cosmopolitan saxophonists in pop, soul and contemporary jazz for nearly 20 years.
Details of the [Date] Christmas Show featuring a well-known cool jazz artist will be announced in October.
Each concert will run from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Tickets, which range from $55.00 to $99.00 each, will be sold through the box office at the Grove of Anaheim, http://www.thegroveofanaheim.com or 714-712-2700. A limited number of VIP tickets, which will include Tier One seating and a hosted pre-concert mixer, as well as full table tickets are also available.
A portion of the proceeds from the concert series will go to support local charities, including Laura's House, the spotlight charity for the December concert.
